Introduce to Dead Space

So, What's Up Guy, Today we will visit one of the classic survival horror game Dead space, This game has become very crowded with stale gameplay and it is an excellent example of the good horror game but it's definitely the start of what could be an excellent franchise you play as Isaac Clark an ordinary engineer who's been sent with a small maintenance crew to investigate the USG Ishimura the crown jewel of a planet cracking fleet communications have been cut off with the ship and something is obviously very very wrong Isaac also has a vested interest in the issue because he's also searching for someone very important to him who's been stationed on the ship great little things this may sound like the standard set up to many a horror sci-fi story but the story is quite good there are actual twists and turns during the course of the narrative and it's all a conclusion that ties things together something that's increasingly become a rarity in gaming the seeds of a franchise have also been planted and thankfully the universe is deep enough to support make more sequels.


Its gameplay may be similar to Resident Evil 4 it's an over-the-shoulder third-person action game and you can rotate the camera around your character in most circumstances this perspective really lends to the claustrophobic and general tense atmosphere of the game there's no quick turn in the game so keep that in mind it seems to be an intentional design choice to make you feel more vulnerable things aren't perfect though while the zero-gravity segments are great to play through there are sections during these moments where the camera becomes locked you can get hit by monsters without knowing where it's coming from this can get frustrating very fast there's also a nav icon that triggers when you pushing the right stick and this can sometimes put you on the wrong path or spin you around for no reason a less serious and even amusing issue is that your stump is kind of wonky you can sometimes hit things above you that you really shouldn't be able to reach that is one mighty stomp indeed from the aesthetic point of view dead space is superb the game is very atmospheric and is a regular cornucopia of movie and sci-fi references event horizon the alien series John Carpenter's The Thing all these influences and more find their way into the twisted world of dead space fans of horror will not be disappointed another thing the game does right is immerse you fully there's no HUD all important info shown on your suit or via pop-up holographic video screens the sound design is excellent and voice acting is strong across the board when this game isn't busy freaking you out it's at least causing you to feel unsettled visually the graphics are very sharp there's some pixelated effects that I'm not a fan of but generally it's extremely good there's a nice attention to detail on both the environments and the monsters and the gore is suitably gruesome there is some slowdown from time to time but this is by no means a regular thing one really nice touch is that there's new game plus mode where all your upgrades transfer over to a new game, And if you wants to know more about like this game then you Can Read Our "TOP 10 Best PC Games Under 3GB" Then You Can Read This Article.

why was dead space so good back in 2008 Visceral Games released dead space on PC Xbox 360 and ps3 a new IP and a survival horror game that came out of nowhere met with critical acclaim from journalists and gamers alike but why was it so good what was so special about this survival horror game in a genre flooded with awful Resident Evil clones the game is set in the year 2000 and you play as silent protagonist Isaac Locke an engineer sent to the Ishimura a planet cracking vessel to find out what exactly went down there and to attempt to repair the faulty communications array and when you get on board the Ishimura it quickly becomes apparent that what you're dealing with here is something far more sinister than you could ever imagine you find yourself in a fight for survival facing off against creatures known only as Necromorphs and the show must go on dead space offered up several things that the survival horror genre hadn't seen before and it did things that already did way better than the competition one of the more striking an immersive features of the game is that it uses a diegetic user interface and that means no typical heads-up display there are no overlays or pause menus so to speak you want to see your health just look at the bars on the back of Isaac Locke you want to know your ammo count well read here gern and there it is cutscenes an important dialogue from characters appear in the form of holograms in front of you even when organizing your inventory or shopping for upgrades it's all there in real time in the video game world and this really helps to immerse the player in the experience there are no cuts and you only leave the universe created here when you turn the game off the combat in this game is something else too it did away with the tried and tested hey you better shoot people in the head mentality oh no in dead space you've got to go for the limbs it reminds you of this several hundred times throughout the game shooting the legs arms and tails of the gangly horrific Necromorphs is a way more efficient method of murder dismembered parts floating off into the distance sometimes the enemies will feign death too you think you've taken them out walk over them and boom you're gonna get the fright of your life they're not finished and the weapons man just so good most of them simply repurposed engineering tools for murdering Necromorphs they all had inventive secondary fire modes as well which allowed you to employ different tactics for killing different enemies and those enemies weren't dumb either they'll attack you in groups and with various different methods there are plenty of moments throughout the game where you'll find yourself being flanked and attacked from multiple angles they jump at you use the ventilation systems grab you and they will rip your head off given half a chance this is not an easy game and even on Normal difficulty you will be challenged the graphics and physics were most excellent

For 2008 this looked pretty damn good excellent lighting and intricate attention to detail within the game world made the Ishimura feel like a real living breathing ship a retro sci-fi looking game with a bleak brown and gray palette contrasted by the blood red of your enemies and blue lights the overall look of the Necromorphs 2 was fascinating gruesome varied and disturbing they come in all shapes and sizes most disturbingly babies that sprout 3 tentacles and can explode your head with razor-sharp darts the real winner for me though is the sound design the way the ship echoes and creaks the sound of the sliding doors and Holograms popping up the distant and holy crap that's way too close screams and groans of the Necromorphs just send chills running up your spine play this in a dark room by yourself with a good set of speakers or headphones and you'll quickly become very immersed in the world and frightened for your life it isn't all crazy combat though and you do get a few moments in the game to take it all in the zero-g sections are a particular highlight for me everything slows down and begins to float around you the sound changes and you can zip across the room to complete puzzles using these stasis and telekinesis abilities assisting you with these two slowing objects down so you can pass by them or moving them out of the way or into the correct position these two abilities are pretty nifty in combat too you could pop a stasis on an enemy and pick off their limbs one by one maybe they got a bit too close and you have to deal with a bigger threat attacking you from a different angle no problem slow them down get the job done well how about using the telekinesis to launch and exploding canister into a group of bad guys it's all possible and players can come up with intuitive ways of defeating enemies it's extremely satisfying in conclusion dead space was a breath of fresh air that came out of nowhere and appealed to a wide audience of gamers its atmosphere sound design combat mechanics and immersive nature ensured that it would go down as one of the best survival horror games to date even replaying it in 2016 it's still an excellent game that keeps you on the edge of your seat for around 11 hours of intense and glorious sci-fi horror here's hoping that any future dead space games can replicate and innovate on what made the original game so damn fantastic as always.

Conclusion

Unfortunately, you can't switch between difficulty settings when you choose this mode and it's just baffling why they didn't include that as an option, at any rate, there are four difficulty levels and you won't be able to upgrade everything in one go through a couple this with extras that are a month and you'll see that there's definitely more than enough reason to play through the game multiple times one thing that did kind of bug me though is that there is some backtracking in the game now it actually makes sense in the context of the plot but it does make it feel like the Ishwara is smaller than it actually is you're always going through some of the same areas luckily the environments are varied visually enough and large enough to make up for that but it's still something to keep in mind dead space is not just Resident Evil 4 in space this game might not have been on a lot of people's radars but a fully deserves your attention.
